Ecology of freshwater invertebrates, stream ecology, effects of acidification; trace metals, euthrophication, (Kola) nuclear plant heated water discharge. Metal toxicity and accumulation in acidified and contaminated lakes and streams. Biology of amphypoda Monoporeia affinis.

Zoology of Invertebrates, Aquatic Ecology, Kola Branch of Petrozavodsk state University. Ecological programs for school-aged children, school-graduated persons, continuing education programs in aquatic biology, biological assessment of acidification, trace metals and nuclear plant cooling waters effects on water ecology.
