m/s Polaris
Motor ship “Polaris” is a comfortable passenger arctic cruiser, owned and operated by the Murmansk Shipping Company and certified and licensed to meet all international requirements for passenger ships. “Polaris” offers high quality accommodation and service for 74 passengers and provides an outstanding environment for business meetings, conferences, seminars and incentive tourism.

Cruise Description and Schedule

05 August, 2007
Boarding, check in. Departure of the ship from sea port of Kandalaksha. Duration of the way is about 16 hours.
16.00 - Approximate time of departure. Orientation to “Polaris”, safety instructions for the passengers.
 20.00 - Dinner, welcome cocktail with the captain, free time

 06 August, 2007
08.00 - Arrival at Solovetsk islands, breakfast aboard “Polaris".
09.00 - Start of excursion program on the Solovetsk islands. Divide into groups.
Group 1 will begin with a tour of Solovetsk Monastery.
 Group 2 will begin with an excursion to Zayatskiy Island, sightseeing
 Duration of each excursion – 3,5 hours
14.00 Lunch aboard Polaris
16.00 The groups will reverse for afternoon excursions;
Group 1 to Zayatskiy Island, Group 2 to Solovetsk Monastery
20.00 Dinner aboard. Free time.

07.00-09.00 Breakfast aboard
09.00 Divide into groups for excursions.
Group 1 - Boat trip about the “Small Round”. Duration about 2.5 hours.
Group 2 - Excursion to Sekirnaya Mountain and to the Botanical Garden.
The groups will meet for a picnic lunch on specially equipped ground not far from the mooring, and then will trade places for the afternoon excursion; Group 1 to Sekirnaya Mountain and Botanical Garden, Group 2 to boat trip about "Small Round".
17.00 Free time
 19.00 Departure from the Solovetsk islands in the direction of Kandalaksha port.
21.00 Dinner aboard. Farewell cocktail with the captain. Free time.
